The inverter units connect directly to each solar module to convert DC power into grid-compliant AC power while transmitting valuable performance data on each module to provide more reliable power and the ability to monitor and respond quickly to performance issues. The system was financed through loans and incentives, including approximately $100,000 in tax credits and state subsidies over the next six years. "Being socially, fiscally and environmentally responsible is a high priority for Blue Ribbon! That's why we chose to install our own solar power generation system", said Blue Ribbon Supply Company General Manager, John Dilena, "If people are truly concerned about our collective future and want to support companies that embrace environmentally sustainable practices, we hope that they will appreciate what Blue Ribbon Supply is doing to help." Blue Ribbon Supply estimates that the system will save the company approximately $7,600 in electricity costs annually. It is also expected to reduce the company's carbon footprint by more than 35,000 pounds of CO2 per year.
