Blue Ribbon Supply Company installs ChargePoint Networked Charging Station

S SAN FRANCISCO, CA – February 1, 2011 – Blue Ribbon Supply Company, a leading wholesale distribution company, providing a broad range of products and services to professional customers, today announced the installation and activation of a ChargePoint Charging Station in the parking lot of its South San Francisco headquarters.

“Recognizing the rapidly approaching change in transportation, we felt it was important for Blue Ribbon Supply Company to take the first step to help create an electric vehicle infrastructure within our industry and region,” said John Dilena, Blue Ribbon Supply Company General Manager and Sales Team Leader. He continued, “This is another way that we hope we might be able to help fulfill our commitment to lead the industry in environmentally friendly practices.”

The charging station was manufactured by Coulomb Technologies, a leader in electric vehicle charging solutions and has stations located worldwide.  It will be available for use by customers and employees - and can be monitored for availability online at this website: http://www.recargo.com/sites/1450/.

In addition to the recently installed charging station, Blue Ribbon Supply Company has also been awarded LEED® - EB (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Existing Buildings) Gold certification, has installed a 19 Kw solar power system, and was recently awarded a certificate of recognition by the South San Francisco City Council for it’s commitment to energy efficiency.
